NOTO Arts Center Courtyard

We’re doing some pro-bono work with the NOTO Arts Center, helping them enhance the Courtyard-like space directly south of their building. Future enhancements include new furniture, string lights, banners, plantings, iron fence, chain link art, a stage, and a mural painted on the existing asphalt. It is really going to be a great space! We toyed with the idea of a sea of floating umbrellas similar to the precedent image above – pretty cool image. Ultimately we decided that it might be more maintenance than the Owner would want to take on. Cities across Europe are providing shades in their streets with clouds of umbrellas such as this. We’ll tuck this concept away for another day.
