Lighting Topeka’s Historic Water Tower

On 7-7-2017 we flipped on the switch to light the largest piece of light art in the State of Kansas to a crowd of over 400 on-lookers!

The concept, to take an enormous structure, that many in the community have previously viewed as an eye-sore and literally paint it in a new light with color changing LED lights.  The illuminated structure is intended to act as a beacon to draw people to Downtown Topeka.

With the help of Sarin Energy, Torgeson Electric, ArtsConnect, City of Topeka, Jason Adams and Sprout Communications we took a decommissioned World War II era concrete water tower and created a new landmark for the City of Topeka.

We hope this creation will act as a catalyst for further revitalization of Topeka’s urban core.
