Hillcrest Community Center & Park Master Plan

2018/3/4 – We’ve started studying the Hillcrest Community Center and surrounding property for an upcoming Master Plan Project with Shawnee County Parks & Recreation.  The above pictures represent the existing conditions of a facility with pretty good bones.  The master plan process will occur over the next year and we will be soliciting community input on what improvements might be appropriate.  So far, we’ve discussed the possibility of updating the trails, possibly an indoor walking track, better security/site lines, possibly climbing walls, removing the tennis courts and replacing with other sports, improved aesthetics, providing services to all age ranges, and necessary facility maintenance.  We’re excited to see this center transform and improve for the good of our community!
