Topeka’s Growth the Last 20 Years

2016/12/18 – The animation below shows the growth of Topeka and Shawnee County from 1984 to 2016.

Dense growth within the existing city limits reduces the cost of infrastructure and maintenance for the City.  In the last few years Topeka has begun limiting the annexation of property outside City limits in an attempt to become more economically sustainable.
