Meet the interesting people of Falk Architects:
Meet Bryan Falk:
Bryan enjoys the Arts, spending time with his wife and three children and long road trips cross country. One of his many goals in life is to see all of America’s National Parks. He is thrilled to be able to offer quality Architectural services to his clients, fine tuning the approach of each project to the needs of his clients.
In his career, Bryan has worked on hundreds of projects of various types, ranging in size from $50 million to less than $50 thousand. Bryan enjoys challenging projects that require unique solutions.
Meet Katie Fuchs (pronounced Fox):
Katie is a talented Project Manager, Designer and dog lover. She enjoys spending time cooking, reading, and attending Royals games. Her professional goal is to improve people’s lives through her work in architecture and practicing “green” design principles.
In Katie’s time at Falk Architects she has worked on over 75 projects, including educational, recreational, civic and corporate. Her attention to detail and focus are some of her strengths as a designer.
Katie was recently married and became a “Fuchs”, pronounced “Fox”. She has dedicated herself to correcting the mispronunciation of her last name.
Meet Jacob Christilles:
Jacob Christilles is a Project Manager and Architect. He loves being outdoors, museums, and finds layovers in airports to be oddly invigorating (he might want to be checked for a concussion as well). In his spare time, he likes to keep his hands busy cooking and working on his house. He is committed to working on designs that improve people’s lives. For him, sustainability is about creating spaces that encourage people to re-engage and interact with their community.
Jacob has a master’s in Architecture from K-State and has worked on a variety of large projects both locally and across the United States.
Meet Jackie Fox:
Jackie is a lifelong Topekan who loves her hometown and hopes to see it continue to flourish. She even lives in downtown Topeka in historic housing and commutes to KU for schooling. She drinks the “cool aid”, so to speak. Jackie is pursuing her Masters in Architecture from the University of Kansas and is working 20-30 hours per week for Falk Architects during the school year while finishing up her education. Falk Architects is excited to have her as the newest member of our team!
When not killing it at Architecture, Jackie enjoys beer-yoga at the Norseman, running at Lake Shawnee and cuddling her adorable kitten. Go Jackie!
Meet Tyler Wible:
Tyler will be working with Bryan Falk on the ambitious project to restore the Hicks Block Lofts to their former glory. Tyler has a background in carpentry, electrical and plumbing work. He’s been repairing old buildings since elementary school, schooled by his grand father. Tyler is a full time 1099 contractor for Falk Architects. He also looks good in a tux.
Meet Blake Clifton:
Blake is an interior architecture intern, and fifth year student in Kansas State University’s Interior Architecture and Product design program. He enjoys creating interior renderings and working on renovation projects, as well as furniture design. His professional goal is to create beautiful, functional spaces based on the needs of the user. Blake provides architectural renderings for Falk Architects on a part time basis.
When not working on renderings and interiors, Blake enjoys mountain biking, camping, craft beer, and building furniture.
Meet Burton Glick:
Burton is the long time care taker of the Hicks Block. When we acquired the property Burton came with it…and he’s worth his weight in gold! Burton mows, shovels snow, maintains the brick sidewalks, provides security, and checks that the building is secure and weather tight at all times.
Burton takes his job of security pretty seriously. If he catches someone stealing one of his prize roses or not picking up their dog’s mess he will call the police! We would hazard to guess because of Burton, there is not a safer street corner in Topeka than 6th and Tyler.
